 Thanks to everyone that donated, sponsored, or participated in the Cubs/Flyers golf tournament

The amount of support that is given to allow these two teams to compete his awesome. From field care with paint, chalk to buying bats and paying league fees, it takes a a lot of things to make these teams possible.

We would like to think the following for donating items for the golf tournament; John and Kim DeCock, Jerry and Pete Holmquist, Browerville Vets Club, Geneva Golf Course, Double Eagle aGolf and Grill, Booker Family, Schnettler Family, Dans Prize, and the St Cloud Rox.

Flyers win 4-2 over Cubs!

Today’s (Saturday) game has been postponed to a later date. Urbank did not have enough players.

The Flyers will take on the Clarissa Cubs at 7 PM tonight. The concession stand will be loaded with goodies.

It was a busy day at the Clarissa Field. The Flyers lose the first game by the score of 12 to 7 and extra innings. The Flyers were up 7-4 with two outs in the top of the seventh and Deer Creek hit a three run home run to take one away . Deer Creek Shockers won the second game 5 to 4.

Fred and Jonny T were busy at the concession stand. Lots of freezies went out to whoever got a foul ball. The Konetzkos hot dogs are a hit. Rocko knows weiners.

I think the Verndale crew went through a bottle of Tito‘s that they added to the slushies.

It was a good day of baseball on a warm Sunday afternoon.

The next game will be the showdown between the Clarissa Flyers and the Clarissa Cubs Friday night at 7 PM.

Clarissa loses 1-0 at Sebeka. It was a warm afternoon pitchers dual.

Next game will be a doubleheader (2 7 inning) in Clarissa on Sunday versus Deer Creek at 1:30.

It is about time we get out of the house. We should be recovered from our hangover from the Fourth of July weekend. We have sat around and watched the rain long enough. Time to come out to the Clarissa ballfield and enjoy a ball game between the Clarissa Flyers and Henning Stars.

Flyers earn two wins over the Detroit Lakes Ligers over the past weekend. The Flyers played Saturday in Browerville as part of Browerville Days.
