Introducing Itan Chait, Professional Rider and Trainer at Brookfield Farms Equestrian Center!
With over 20 years of equestrian experience, Itan has dedicated his career to both Show Jumping and Dressage, training with some of the top professionals in the sport.
In Jumping, he was the overall Mexico City Metropolitan Champion at 1.10m, consistently finishing in the top 3 at 1.20m across multiple circuits and placing 9th nationally at 1.10m. Itan also qualified for Nationals at 1.20m every year prior to leaving for college.
In Dressage, he had the privilege of training with Olympian Bernadette Pujals, who herself trained under Dorothee Schneider. Itan consistently earned national podium finishes, including 2nd at Level 1 and 3rd at Level 2, and he has trained through 3rd–4th level in-house. While at Alfred University, he founded the Dressage Team, serving as captain and de facto coach during its early years.
With a strong background in both disciplines, Itan offers a thoughtful and well-rounded approach to training. His teaching style focuses on creating confident, capable partnerships between horse and rider, blending correct flatwork with solid jumping fundamentals.
