Pack 65 provides Cub Scout programs for families of both boys and girls in grades K-5 from the Circle Pines, Lexington, southeast Blaine, and southwest Lino Lakes area, and has been doing so for over 55 years. Due to elementary school boundaries, we have scouts in our pack from a number of schools living in this area, although most attend Golden Lake Elementary, followed by Blue Heron Elementary. Our Pack is chartered by Our Savior's Lutheran Church, and that is where most of our Pack Meetings are held. Each grade, K-5 has active Dens that meet 2-3 times per month during the school year and Pack meetings are held monthly. We conduct an annual Pinewood Derby, Blue and Gold Banquet, participate in a number of District and Council events, and hold at least one Pack activity per month during the summer.

The pack went to Crystal Cave in Wisconsin for the July summertime activity adventure.

We learned about how caves are formed, and how constant their temperature is year round.

We wrapped up with a round of mini golf.

Dear Northern Star Scouting Leaders, Families, and Friends,

Recent news articles regarding an announcement by the Secretary of War about a new memorandum of understanding with Scouting America have understandably raised questions across the Scouting community. You may have seen reports suggesting significant programmatic changes tied to compliance with Executive Order 14173. As is often the case with breaking news of this nature, information comes from multiple sources, and not all of it is consistent. We recognize that uncertainty can be unsettling for families and volunteers who simply want clarity about what this means for their Scouts.

We want to be clear: Northern Star Scouting and Scouting America will continue to welcome and serve all youth. Our commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and character-building program for every young person remains steadfast and unchanged.
