Week three of the Kings CX TT! One more to go. Reminder, after the TTs end we'll do a couple weeks of Hot Laps on Wednesday at Harbin Park. In particular, for the first week I'm looking for feedback on the final course configuration, specifically, do I need to do a U15 bypass? I'm leaning no. And Maciej failed to check his kit bag for a current short sleeve jersey. Waddya think? Should he have done it in a long sleeve winter jersey?

What a great evening for a Time Trial! Fourteen riders once again tested their fitness level Tuesday evening, and most were quite pleased with the results. That includes one rider, Jamie Crombie, who rode exactly eight weeks after full hip replacement surgery!
We had two new Personal Best times. Congratulations to Stan Meininger and David Wymer! We also had two riders who turned in multi-year best times. Congrats to Mike Lies and Rob Westendorf!
We welcomed one first time rider. Chris Schuele rode a very fast 25:09 on his very first attempt on the Cleves course! And we welcomed one rider back. Vivian Rouse has been missing from Cleves for more than 13 years. Vivian was a regular and we are glad to see her back in action!
The season seems to be passing quickly. For those who are counting, we only have six events remaining on the calendar. Our last time trial of the season will be on Tuesday, September 29. And, as in the past, our start time will move to 6:30 PM on that last Tuesday in order to avoid darkness.
Thanks to Dave Lenahan for helping at the course on Tuesday!

Coming soon... Hot Laps at Harbin! Once the CX TT has finished it's last week, we have two more Wednesdays before the Harbin Park OVCX race. I plan to get there about 5:30, and expect we'll be there until at least 7:00. During the first week (9/9) I will be seeking design input on some final tweaks to the course design. The second week 9/16) will be just rippin' the features. No sign up required, just come out if you're available. Both days are weather dependent, if it's messy we'll spare the turf from any pre-race damage.

It was another very stormy afternoon in Cleves, OH on Tuesday!
As you know, we had to cancel the event on July 21 after storms caused a tree to fall across the road. Another very large tree fell again on Tuesday afternoon but luckily, the road crews were able to remove it quickly. Cleves TT volunteers removed all of the smaller remaining branches from the course which allowed us to put the first rider off at 7:00 as scheduled. Although all five riders started in the rain, the weather cleared by the time they hit the finish line in North Bend.
Susan Lackney and Anthony Alexander drove 2.5 hours each way from Central Kentucky to compete on Tuesday so they were not about to be denied by a little rain! As a result, both riders turned in Personal Best Times on the course. Congratulations to our friends from the Kentucky side of the river on their great performances!
Many thanks to Dave Lenahan for helping out at the Start/Finish!
