St. Al's Gators Athletics

Here are a few more photos of our St. Al's student-athletes cheering with the Bulldogs squad Saturday!

The offenses were as hot as the weather Sunday afternoon at Veterans Park as Coach Gassett’s Gators boys’ kickers side, playing with only one sub, settled for a 3-3 draw with St. Ignatius. These boys will be back on the pitch next Sunday against CPA.

It was a GREAT day to be a Gator as our boys’ and girls’ pre-passers played very well against Oak Hills Sunday at Delhi Park. And a tip of the old Gators cap for Coach Paul, Coach Shive, Coach Becker and Coach Gassett and all the boys and girls for competing on an incredibly hot day.

No score is kept at the pre-passers level and all the kids played hard. The staff here has confirmed, however, that our young Gators found the back of the net three times!

St. Al’s Coaches Welsh, along with Gators Charlie, Charlie and Max and their Lourdes boys’ wings side braved Sunday afternoon's stifling heat and battled Three Rivers in a hard-fought and extremely well-played 4-3 loss at Kuliga Park. They'll be back on the pitch Sept. 8.

Friday night, Mr. N showed up to support several of our seventh-grade students on the Cincinnati Hornets 13u baseball team at Northside K of C. Thank you, Mr. N. and welcome to St. Al's!

It’s back to the pitch this weekend for our Gators on two St. Al’s sides and for several playing for FMHE clubs!

Football is back this weekend for our Gators and this week, it counts! St. Al’s football players and their St. Jude teammates will kick off the 2026 Greater Catholic Youth League football season Saturday when they host St. Antoninus in games throughout the day.
