Five of our students competed at the 2026 Wing Chun National/ Kung Fu Regional Championships in Dayton, OH this weekend, and they represented Red Tiger well! This was a brand new experience for a couple of them, which I have to say they did great for their first performance in Kung Fu forms (Brody Hawkins and Lauren Rengstorf 🙏🏽).
Two of our more senior students took first and second place in open forms (Alex Wohl - gold, Matt Bryan - silver).

Alex and Matt were also rewarded for their hard work in sparring events with some hardware and eligibility to compete in the Pan Am Kung Fu Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina in October of this year! Another, student who has recently returned to Red Tiger, Jesús Lucero also placed in sparring events and earned a spot at the Pan Am Championships.

Alex Wohl - Silver for Siu Nim Tau form, Gold for Chi Sau sparring, Gold for Mai San Jong sparring)

Jesús Lucero - gold in Mai San Jong sparring

Matt Bryan - Silver for Chi Sau sparring and Bronze for Mai San Jong Sparring

I am also even more proud of these competitors' sportsmanship, etiquette and work ethic.

Also I'd love to give a shout out to all the other students who came out to support their peers! Nikky, Hank, Pablo, Dave, Steve, Cahliel and Nathan!
