I’ve been quiet in the online yoga realm. I’m here, trying to embrace the uncomfortable and inconvenient and (get slapped in the face) by mirrors.

Today I’m leaving you with a grounding practice. A lot of breath focus through the poses… I don’t have any magical insight, though maybe, just maybe this will spark you into getting on your mat or taking a few focused breaths or noticing the everyday beauty beside you.

With care,
Care

And sometimes living your yoga means twisting the tomato plant. 🍅🌱🙏🏼

What started off as a yoga based class transformed into quite the multi-faceted experience. From appreciating savasana and rest each week to openness to retreats, learning about cycles and what it mean to be a woman to understanding best practices of caring for self to mindfulness to sharing and learning about fear (future events appearing real) to ending our last few classes with group hugs and “the circle of kindness” (basically going around the circle and expressing love and gratitude for that person). These middler gals have gone above and beyond any expectations I’d have for this class and I’m tickled that it served them well.

Some students loved the circle of kindness so much they opted to do it in my poetry class.

Thanks for another empowering and filling year, Leaves!

Love having our poetry class write and read their visualizations to the Kindergartners today and present mindfulness techniques to our littlest sprouts. Great practice for our older students to model listening and leadership skills and an opportunity for our Kinders to spend time upstairs. 💗

I’ve had the most incredible year growing with these teen girls. After an unplanned cry fest this week this is how they ended class together. 💗🌸🙏🏼

Grateful to finally host my Align and Shine retreat that the teens were asking for! With reflection, connection, movement, rest, creativity and celebration we focused on loving the woman we are becoming!

Some closing remarks included refreshing, empowering, fun and interesting 💖 I’m so proud of the self work these young ladies have put in this semester.

Thank you to my co-lead, my mom for making the celebratory cake and all my amazing letter writers! You helped create magic

Grateful to be able to help these 1-2nd grade Girl Scouts complete their Movement is Fun badge! We learned how to calm our excited bodies, gathered poses, explored sun salutations and played yoga games!

Thanks to the Fairview Clifton German Language school for hosting me!

My wonderful Align and Shine class shared a quick yoga practice followed by Cravings and Cycles lesson. We learned that cravings aren’t bad, they are information and enjoyed a tasting of nutrient rich foods that correlate with each cycle phase ♥️
