More flexibility. More time in the water! No more reserving a specific timeslot, class, or lane. Simply purchase a Lap Swim, Water Fitness, or Open Swim/Water Walking Pass and visit when it’s convenient for you.

Chula Vista Champions Kids 1-Mile Run

New for 2026! Get your little champions moving with our Kids 1-Mile Fun Run for youth ages 5–12. Join us Saturday, November 14 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center for a fun race-day experience. The 1-mile fun run begins at 8:00 a.m., before the Chula Vista Champions 5K.

All participants will receive a finisher medal and snack to celebrate their accomplishment!

Ages: 5–12
Time: 8:00 a.m.
Fee: $15 Resident / $18 Non-Resident

Please join us in celebrating Izabella Kovar, our CVRec Leader of the Season! 🎉

Izabella consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, strong leadership, and a willingness to go above and beyond in her role with the City of Chula Vista.

Izabella currently supports the Therapeutics Program, where she plans and hosts programs and events for adults with disabilities. She also recently served as a Recreation Supervisor through an Out-of-Class Assignment at the Otay Community Center. During her assignment, she developed new programs, restructured open gym schedules, and provided training and guidance to fellow supervisors, all while continuing to support Therapeutics programming.

Izabella’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to the community make her a great example to her peers and a deserving recipient of this recognition.

Congratulations, Izabella, on being selected as Leader of the Season!
