What a day to be part of the Chisholm community! 💙❤️

Chisholm was proud to be the finish line city for the Never Surrender's Tomassoni Tour - Cycle for ALS! Welcoming riders 🚲 with music, cheers, and encouragement was a meaningful way to celebrate their efforts and show our support for everyone affected by ALS.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped make this welcome possible:

* Never Surrender — for bringing people together with purpose in the fight against ALS! Especially to event planners Todd, Skylar & Lisa!
* Chisholm Area Chamber of Commerce — for helping bring this special day to our community (go Shelly!)
* Jim’s Sports Club Bar & Grill — for providing the lunches and T-shirts (Kelly is the best!)
* City of Chisholm— for the street coordination that helped make the finish line celebration possible!
* 30West Fitness & Rec/30West Bike Shop — the cowbells added extra cheer & fun to the day!
* Our Chisholm Bluestreaks — you made our community proud! The band sounded amazing and brought so much energy. The cheerleaders were prepared, enthusiastic, and wonderful leaders. Our fourth through sixth graders brought such a spirited welcome for the riders! A special thank-you to AD Vake for the great idea to include those students, and to the teachers, staff, and administrators who helped make their participation possible.
* North Haven Coffee — for keeping everyone fueled with delicious coffee ☕️ and adding a warm welcome to the finish line!
* Ridetherange Ambassador Mathias Norenberg Guy Thompson — for riding in the tour and proudly representing the Iron Range among the riders!

To our local Chisholm volunteers and community members: thank you for giving your time, showing up, and cheering the riders home!

There’s something special about seeing our students, businesses, volunteers, and neighbors come together to welcome people to Chisholm. Today, our kids helped demonstrate what community pride looks like: showing up for others, offering encouragement, and being part of something bigger than ourselves.

🚵‍♀️ Our final Redhead Mountain Bike Try-It Night of our Summer series is coming up—and it’s once again completely FREE!

📅 Tuesday, September 15th
⏰ 4:30–7:00 PM
📍 Redhead Mountain Bike Park

Whether you’re brand-new to mountain biking or ready to explore more of Redhead, this night is for you! Local mountain bike enthusiasts will help riders get started on the Pump Track and Skills Course before heading onto beginner-friendly green trails. Feeling adventurous? Catch the free shuttle to try the new flow trails!

🎉 We’ll also have some AMAZING giveaways—including a kids’ bike, helmets, and bike jerseys!

🍦 And the Ice Cream Truck will be joining us—because every great bike night deserves a sweet treat!
Bring the kids, invite your friends, and come discover how much fun mountain biking can be. Adults and children are welcome!

🚵‍♀️ 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝘆-𝗜𝘁 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀!

This time, we welcomed new and returning riders—adults and kiddos alike—from right here in Chisholm and from communities as far west as Bigfork and northeast as Ely!

More than 140 people joined us throughout the evening, with the opportunity to experience Redhead MTB Park in a friendly, encouraging, and supportive environment—whether they were trying mountain biking for the first time or returning for another ride on the pump track or our many miles of beginner-friendly trails!

The new Pump Track & Skills Course was made possible by the LCCMR (Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources) grant program and funding from the ever wonderful IRRR— Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation. Projects like this don’t happen without vision, investment, and strong partnerships!

We were also thrilled to make great use once again of our Free Wheelers grant 🚲 🚲 🚲 , awarded through Northern St. Louis County’s Trail Task Force Grant Program. A special thank-you to Bridgit Lee & Stephanie Skraba for all their work on the grants for the pump track & the Free Wheeler bikes during their time with the City!

A little behind the scenes action from this summer as we trained in our new 30Westies, Grace and Josie! We’re so glad to have them a part of our team.

Our community mountain biking tryout event was such a success last week with the help of an amazing group of community partners and volunteers!

We had a fantastic turnout (100+ people), welcoming youth and adults to experience Redhead in a friendly, encouraging, and supportive environment. Some of the adults had never ridden a mountain bike before—and watching them build confidence and discover something new was especially meaningful! 🚵‍♀️✨

This is what it’s all about: helping people of all ages get outside, move their bodies, explore the incredible resources at Redhead, and discover the what mountain biking is all about.

Thank you to every organization, volunteer, family, and participant who made this special evening possible! 👏
