God is good!

Shedeur is winning on all cylinders: God, football, life, and family. Stay strong and continue to grow in life financially and spiritually; winning at all cost. Most importantly, he learned how to throw away garbage and shop for goods. Look at both bags closely!

“Against every odd, the strong survive—and the best always rise to win.”

God is so good.

A Different Approach to the Cleveland Browns’ Quarterback Situation

I have what I believe is a brilliant idea for the Cleveland Browns’ coaching staff when it comes to managing the team’s quarterback situation. Instead of choosing between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders outright, why not find a way to utilize both quarterbacks during the same game?

My proposal is simple: let Deshaun Watson play the first two quarters and allow Shedeur Sanders to play the third and fourth quarters.

This approach would give the Browns an opportunity to get some value from Watson while simultaneously giving Shedeur Sanders meaningful playing time against NFL competition. Watson is being paid a significant amount of money, so allowing him to play the first half would at least provide the organization with some return on that investment. At the same time, Sanders would have an entire second half to showcase his skills and demonstrate whether he deserves to become the team’s quarterback of the future.

There would also be an interesting strategic advantage to this approach. Opposing teams would have to prepare for two completely different quarterbacks. Defenses would not necessarily know exactly what they were going to see for an entire game. Preparing for Watson during the first half and then having to adjust to Sanders in the second half could create challenges for opposing defensive coordinators.

Most importantly, this would give the Browns an opportunity to evaluate Sanders in real game situations. Practice, OTAs and preseason games can provide valuable information, but there is nothing quite like playing meaningful NFL football. If Sanders consistently entered games in the third quarter and performed at a high level, the organization would have undeniable evidence of what he could potentially bring to the team.

Imagine a scenario where Watson plays a solid first half and then Sanders comes into the game and takes the offense to another level. If Sanders begins producing touchdowns, moving the football and winning games, Cleveland would have a very interesting decision to make. At that point, the question would no longer be about potential—it would be about production.

Of course, this strategy would be unconventional. NFL offenses typically benefit from having one quarterback establish rhythm and continuity throughout the game. Constantly changing quarterbacks could also create challenges for the offensive line, receivers and play-calling. However, the Browns are in a unique situation, and sometimes unique situations require unconventional solutions.

Ultimately, my idea is about getting the most out of the quarterbacks Cleveland has available while giving Shedeur Sanders a legitimate opportunity to prove himself. Watson could provide value in the first half, while Sanders could use the second half to show Browns fans, coaches and the entire NFL what he can do.

And if Sanders becomes the quarterback who consistently takes over games in the second half, Cleveland may eventually discover that its biggest problem isn’t deciding whether to play him—it is figuring out how to keep him off the field.
