Squats are one of the most functional movements you can do—they train the exact strength you need to get up from a chair, pick something up off the floor, or lower yourself into a car without holding your breath.

When people hear "mobility," they often picture advanced yoga poses or extreme flexibility.

Mobility is your ability to move through your full range of motion with control. It's what lets you reach overhead without strain, bend down without bracing for impact, and turn your head to back out of a parking spot.
