When the officer told me how it’s more about LOOKING aware, something just clicked.

Awareness is good, yes! Simple awareness of our surroundings is definitely needed, but making sure you LOOK aware is critical.

My only conclusion is that some people like to see how much they can get away with.

I’m 99% sure the people who said these things knew they were weird things to say, and they said them anyway.
