The Hitmen took a big win tonight over the Illinois White Sox by a score of 16-2! The Homerun chain was flickering under the lights all night long! Jayson Hernandez, Ryan Howell and Trent Dian all went yard contributing to tonight’s win!

Huge double header, double “W” weekend for our Hitmen! Game 1 serving up the previously undefeated Chicity Orioles their first loss of the season in one of the CPBL’s most anticipated matchups of the year! Trent Dian took the mound leading the Hitmen to a 6-4 victory tossing 7 innings and only allowing 1 earned run to record the win! He wasn’t alone, he was backed by the rest of the Hitmen who made spectacular plays in the field and put up a team combined 6 runs on 11 hits! In game 2 the Hitmen won their rematch game against the Devil Rays to split their season series by a score of 4-2! Starting pitcher Gage Tokarz lead the way slinging a solid 7 innings allowing 0 earned runs and racking up 6 k’s! Showing his support he was backed by his big brother Logan Tokarz’s 3 hits and 2 RBI performance to help record the win! Let’s go Hitmen!!!

The Hitmen were back in action tonight taking a big 16-3 win over the Illinois Nationals largely backed by a Thomas Spengler grand slam that is still currently being monitored by air traffic control! The Hitmen head into a double header this Sunday looking to stay hot! 10 am against the Westchester Chargers at Prairie State College and then 2:30 pm against the 2nd City Redbirds at Oil City Stadium

The Hitmen take a huge opening day win over the Joliet Padres! Winning it in Hitmen fashion and putting up a barrage of 15 hits scoring 17 runs! The Hitmen turned 3 double plays and the pitching staff only allowed 1 hit!

The Hitmen player of the game goes to CF Dane McDonald! He went an incredible 4-4 with 5 RBI!
