As we wrap up the 2026 USATKD National Championships, it’s hard to put into words all the emotions we’re feeling. There is excitement, pride, disappointment, joy, and motivation—all at the same time. That’s the reality of chasing big goals.
This year, ChampYon Taekwondo USA brought 12 athletes to Nationals, with 5 of them experiencing their very first National Championships. Every member of our team earned their place here through months of hard work, discipline, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to becoming better every single day.
We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Citlali and Victoria, who each earned a National Bronze Medal. Their accomplishments are a reflection of the dedication and perseverance they have shown throughout the season.
We celebrated victories, but we also experienced heartbreaking losses. As coaches, we feel every moment alongside our athletes. While the losses are never easy, they are part of the journey. They teach lessons that victories alone never could.
The National Championships bring together the very best athletes from across the country. Every match is an opportunity to learn, grow, and discover what it truly takes to compete at the highest level. These experiences will only make us stronger.
To our athletes—young and adult alike—thank you for trusting the process, embracing the challenges, and representing ChampYon with courage, respect, determination, and heart. We are incredibly proud of every one of you.
To our coaches—thank you for the countless hours spent planning practices, traveling, coaching, studying, making adjustments, encouraging our athletes, and giving so much of yourselves to this team. Your passion, commitment, and belief in our athletes are a huge part of everything we accomplish.
To our parents, families, and supporters—thank you for believing in this journey. Thank you for the early mornings, long drives, sacrifices, and unwavering support throughout the season. None of this would be possible without you.
We leave Charlotte with valuable experience, unforgettable memories, two National bronze medals, and even more motivation than when we arrived.
This week wasn’t just about medals—it was about growth, resilience, and continuing to build a program that isn’t afraid to challenge the best in the country.
The work doesn’t stop here.
We’ll learn. We’ll grow. We’ll come back stronger.
