Our Artistic Director Jumaane Taylor and our resident ensemble Stone Soup Rhythms are hard at work preparing for this year's Rhythm World performances. Between runs and plenty of rhythm-making, they're taking a moment to recharge before heading back into the studio.

We're excited to share what they've been creating and can't wait to welcome audiences to Rhythm World 2026. Concert tickets are on sale now: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1987098686663?aff=oddtdtcreator

Today, on Juneteenth, we honor William Henry Lane. Better known as Master Juba, he was one of the most influential figures in American dance history.

For decades, the Chicago Human Rhythm Project has celebrated his legacy through our JUBA! performances, Gala! JUBALEE, Emmy-nominated documentary, and the annual JUBA! Awards, which recognize artists, educators, patrons, and community leaders whose work strengthens the field and advances the art form.
