7️⃣ years!!! Today, September 16th marks the seventh anniversary of Big Shoulders Yoga! Overflowing with appreciation for our beautiful community who have shaped BSY into the incredible space it is today. Starting from our “yoga club” after hours in a coworking office (pictured), to finding our studio space in West Town, and continuing to grow with 7 yoga teacher trainings, 3 retreats, countless happy hours, book clubs, and solidarity events! Swip to see BSY over the years. Share your favorite BSY memory in the comments!
Starting to come together! Just need some glass brick and a door.
So many folks helped with painting the studio before our grand opening in 2019!
First class in the studio! It looks so different than it does today, we were just happy to have clean floors and heating (the coworking space we taught out of before was wonderful but could be a little drafty and dusty).
Suzanne and Nicolette after putting some finishing touches on the studio. Suzanne was instrumental in the founding of BSY!!
First photo shoot!
Min and Edyta stopped in from New Jersey during our opening weekend :)
Opening weekend class! So exciting to see the studio full of new community members.
Gina, Kate, Emma, Paloma, and Anna playing a very yoga appropriate game during our opening celebration.
Our first YTT cohort. Champions who had to do most of YTT virtually as the pandemic started a week into their training.
Thanks to Renee for capturing this gem during a studio photo shoot!
Loredana brought the first sound bath to BSY

A big turnout for our summer book club this June. We had a great discussion about the The Lion Women of Tehran by Marjan Kamali
