A fond farewell...

Big City Swing has spread rhythm and joy for 23 years. It has been a thrill to share this incredible hobby with so many people.

The time has come for me to retire as director of BCS, and thus thus studio will be closing this Sunday afternoon, March 15th.

Many folks have asked if this is an economic question. It's not. Big City Swing was running full swing! It is a personal decision. The time has come for me to pursue new professional and personal opportunities.

We have found a wonderful renter who will be opening an Arts Outreach Center offering classes for both youth and adults. They truly are a perfect fit for our warm and cozy clubhouse. The welcoming spirit of Big City Swing will live on in the space through this new organization.

To all the current and former staff members, my sincerest thank you. You've inspired so many to do what they never thought possible.

To all the current and former students, you are a remarkable. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us.

I'll see you on the dance floor, my friends.

Important update: We are running full throttle in November and December and.......Beginning January 2020, Big City Swing will no longer offer the 4-week progressive class program.

Big City Swing will continue to offer:
- Private Lessons
- First Friday drop-in lessons and dances
- Workshops (single session, 2-hour classes) for all levels

So what does that mean for you?

Jump into those group classes you’ve been planning to take and schedule those private lessons now.

Here are a few highlights from November’s schedule, which begins THIS MONDAY:

Swing I – Mondays @ 6:30pm or Thursdays @ 8:15pm
Swing II – Mondays @ 8:30pm or Thursdays @ 7:00pm
Lindy I – Mondays @ 7:30pm
