Entry forms are due this Sunday, July 19th. We will have entry forms available if you haven’t already filled yours out.
Crafts are due by Thursday, July 23rd, for the competition. Please drop them off at the Dining Hall on that date.
We are a week out from the competition, so if you’ve been putting off a craft that you were thinking of submitting, join us this Wednesday to start. You still have time!

It’s time to get crafting, Turners! The Illinois Turners Cultural Competition takes place this July, and it’ll be here before we know it!
Adults with kids in school, make sure your child doesn’t toss their artwork from the school year. It can be used during the competition, as long as it falls under one of the categories.
Adults/Teens, set some time aside to make things. This competition is NOT just for practicing artists — it’s for everyone! You’re competing alongside friends and family, so please keep that in mind. This is meant to be fun!
If you are an artist, this is your moment to show off your skills. And if you don’t consider yourself one, here’s a little secret: there’s no strict definition of what makes someone an artist. If you’re creating something and getting something meaningful out of it — whether that’s a sense of accomplishment, a special memory with someone you care about, or simply a peaceful moment with your favorite music creating something— that’s what truly counts.
So don’t be intimidated. Let’s relax, enjoy the process, and make this year’s competition all about creativity and fun!

🎶To the song - In My Life by the Beatles🎶
To our anniversarians, you’re more than members — you’re part of our story, our memories, and our family!
To our newest members, welcome! We’re so excited to have you join our community and become part of what makes this place so special!
Thank you all and make sure to congratulate those who have reached a Turner milestone, and make sure to welcome our newest members!

We had a lovely meeting last Sunday. It was great seeing so many familiar faces, sharing some laughs, and enjoying some delicious BBQ.
If you missed this one, no worries, we have another meeting in July!
The highlight of this meeting was seeing how quickly people were willing to jump in to try and save an event that had fallen to the wayside. Hands weren’t in short supply when asked who could volunteer. It takes a lot of hands to keep our community alive and thriving, and every bit of volunteering helps! So thank you for tossing your hands up. It meant a lot!
TL;DR: We’re planning to bring back the All Turner Picnic next year (not to be confused with the Northwest Picnic—that’s still happening 😎), and we’ll need plenty of volunteers 😎

Our annual meeting will be on Sunday, April 26th at the Barenhole at 1pm, followed by a dinner. The dinner will be $25 per person.
If you can only carve out enough time for the meeting, that’s absolutely fine. Please send an email to Nick Barts to RSVP and let him know whether you’ll be attending just the meeting or the meeting and dinner.
Email: [email protected]
Please RSVP by April 21st so that we can plan accordingly.
Thank you! We’re excited to see you all there!
