☀️ Today we're excited to welcome dancers for the first day of our Little Dancers Summer Camp and Summer Intensive!

Over the next four weeks, our studios will be filled with learning, creativity, friendship, and plenty of dancing. We can't wait to see our students grow, challenge themselves, and make lasting memories.

Dancers will take the stage on July 31st at the Logan Center to show off all they've learned!

At Hyde Park School of Dance, one year includes months of preparation before opening night, focused work in the studios, performances that bring families and neighbors together, community engagement programs, scholarships, and classes for dancers from 18 months through 60+.

As we look toward the year ahead, we’re inviting our community to Make it Monthly with a recurring gift. Predictable monthly giving helps HPSD plan responsibly, keep tuition and ticket prices as accessible as possible, and welcome dancers of all ages, backgrounds, bodies, and identities to study, perform, create, and grow.

PRIDE belongs on every stage 🏳️‍🌈

At HPSD, no one should be asked to shrink, hide, or leave part of themselves outside the room.

This Pride Month, we celebrate and affirm LGBTQIA+ dancers, families, faculty, artists, and neighbors. Every dancer deserves to be seen, respected, supported, and fully themselves.

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of justice.

Hyde Park School of Dance will be closed Friday, June 19, in observance of the holiday. We hope our community has the opportunity to reflect, celebrate, learn, connect, and honor the day in ways that are meaningful to them.

PEEK INTO THE WEEK 👀 Pointe Foundations Workshop

It's summer, and at HPSD, that means busy days and full studios!

This week, dancers in our Pointe Foundations Workshop have been building strength, developing healthy habits, and learning essential building blocks for pointe work.

From conditioning and technique to sewing ribbons and preparing shoes, these dancers are gaining the knowledge and skills that support safe, confident dancing for years to come.

Whether you're looking for a fun introduction to dance, continuing your training, or returning to the studio after a break, Hyde Park School of Dance has classes for children, teens, and adults all summer long.

Join us for ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, tap, Pilates, yoga, and more.

Registration is open for both 4-week sessions, and it's not too late to sign up! Plus, some drop in options are available!

We're thrilled that Hyde Park School of Dance was selected to perform in the 2026 Chicago Dance Month Kick-Off Celebration presented by at this Saturday!

Dancers from our 2025-26 Advanced Studio Companies will perform Common Pulse, a favorite from this year's Spring Concert, alongside an exciting lineup of companies from across Chicago.

We're so proud of these dancers and honored to celebrate the incredible Chicago dance community together.
