Ranking at BSI has never been a subject matter because in the Plum Flower system I am a part of, there is only one Grandmaster and only one successor, which are the two highest ranks, 10th and 9th respectively. For example, if there were 10 sections or 10 degrees, 8th is the highest you can achieve, of course, unless you are the successor. Hopefully, this clears up any misconceptions about how rank works.
