still thinking about the cacao ceremony at kawoq forest
it was one of the most beautiful and grounding experiences i’ve ever had ✨
it was held with so much care, intention, and love.
so much gratitude to the facilitators who shared their ancient wisdom with us
this special experience is something i’ll always carry with me

apparently i need 6 months to post about a trip
but 30 in guatemala was magic in a lot of ways ✨
really grateful for the women who made it what it was—beautiful & unforgettable 💕

Dear Grandma ~ we made it to Venice ✨

You always said you wanted to see this magical city before it’s lost to the water. You romanticized Venice, you made it sound like a dream. It’s been 14 years since we lost you… but your dream of Venice has stayed with me, among so many other things. I dreamed my own dream of Venice… I wanted to see it, for you. So that in some small way, the part of you that lives on in me could experience this floating city of wonder. It was absolutely breathtaking, the food, the canals, the never ending maze of corridors that make up this stunning place. You would have loved it. It was bittersweet & beautiful.
Mom & I sat down on the steps of a canal on our last night here. We held hands & murmured gratitude, memories, & a goodbye. This was my memorial to you. My deepest gratitude to you for your unconditional love & support. Our time together may have been short, but the mark you left of me is indelible. I am who I am today, because of you. So thank you, for everything… & especially for this goodbye. I love you so much & I miss you ♥

Seriously though - the solo trip I did to Aspen this fall was so deeply nourishing! 🤌🏼✨ (*chef’s kiss)

It’s crazy to look back & see how things have changed. 5 years ago I was honestly scared to hike alone, especially without a dog. I dreamed of becoming the type of woman who could adventure, camp, & hike confidently on her own. That type of freedom has always appealed to me, but back then I didn’t know where to start; all I knew was that I was being pulled to Colorado, so I took the leap.

Life takes a lot of twists & turns, but I will always stand by… the desires of our hearts are no coincidence… & also, I think when we listen to our hearts we our pulled in the direction of those desires & ultimately we end up exactly where we’re meant to be 💛 even if the road to get there isn’t easy, I’d like to believe that it’s worth it; lessons, tears, smiles & all.
