Excited to announce the teams participating in the upcoming Summer 2026 season of the Tape Ball Cricket Association! Get ready for some thrilling cricket action!

Thank you to all teams for participating in and attending today’s AGM.

The final decisions for the 2026 season are as follows:

*Fees & Prizes*
• Team Fee: $250
• Trophies: Winner and Runner up
• No individual medals
• *Cash Prizes:*
• $1,000 – Winner
• $200 – Runner-up
• Any additional sponsorship will increase the winner’s prize.

*Tournament Format*
• Top 2 teams qualify directly for the Semi-Finals.
• Teams ranked 3, 4, 5, and 6 will play Quarterfinals on the same day.
• Quarterfinals: same day
• Semi-Finals and Final: same day

*Match Timing Rules*
• Game time: 10:00 AM
• Toss must take place by 9:59 AM
• 10:00 AM – Toss forfeited
• 10:15 AM – 2 overs deducted (if fewer than 7 players)
• 10:30 AM – Additional 2 overs deducted (total 4 overs)
• 10:45 AM – Match forfeited
• 11:00 AM – Second game starts

*Player Qualification & Attendance*
• Both teams must take a team photo every Sunday before each game and submit it to the captains’ group.

*Late Player Rules*
• *Bowling first*: Any player arriving after the 7th over cannot play the first game. They must wait for the second game. Do not include late players in the playing XI at the start. They may be added only if they arrive before the 7th over.
• *Batting first*: A player may join at any time and is eligible, provided the team photo has been submitted.

*Player Eligibility*
• Any player who is found playing hardball at the same time while being registered and counted as playing in a tape ball league match at the same time for qualification purposes will be disqualified from the league.
• If discovered after a match, that match will be forfeited and the opposing team will be awarded the result.

*Umpiring*
• The umpire’s decision is final.

Mark your calendar for the AGM (Annual General Meeting) on Sunday, February 14 at 1:30 PM.

This meeting is exclusive to Captains and Vice Captains only!

Key Details
• Registration closes: March 7, 2026
• Schedule release: First week of April - Games start end of April or Beginning of May 2026!
• TBCA will only accept an even number of teams to ensure all matches are played on Sundays.
• Teams registering as the odd-numbered team must secure an additional team to become eligible.
• Registration is first come, first served.
• Additional items will be discussed at the meeting.
