Are you a pitcher looking to play college baseball, but haven't found a spot yet or need to continue developing?
Maybe you are already in college, but need to take a year to focus on development or rehab?
Come check our program at BCA Postgrad.
You'll have the opportunity to take nine months following a process to get yourself stronger, healthier, throwing harder - and most importantly - learning how to be a complete, competitive, college-ready athlete.
Besides the development aspect, you'll participate in a full college season against local NCAA, NAIA, and JUCO opponents in the area. Approximately 20 games in the fall and 50 in the spring - all without using a year of eligibility.
In 6 seasons, BCA has had the opportunity to develop young men and ball players who might be under-recruited, overlooked, coming back from injury, or looking to play at a higher level with more time to develop. We have placed over 125 players at the next level by following a trusted process.

GAME/TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS βΎοΈβ‘οΈ
Has been a great past few weeks with getting lots of at bats and innings behind the plate. Not as much pitching yet as I anticipated but the innings I have thrown have been pretty good.
About one more month left in Chicago before I head out to Poland for my endeavors with the Polish National Team.
Looking forward to continued success π

THE MURPH WORKOUT πͺ
Once a year around Memorial Day, I take on the Murph Challenge.
Traditionally, the workout is done with a weighted vest, but I opted to go just bodyweight.
The workout
1 mile run
100 pullups
200 pushups
300 squats
1 mile run
My first mile was 5:46, not too shabby. Divided the reps into 20 sets of 5 pullups 10 pushups 15 squats. Final mile I was cooked and ran a 6:50. Some kid stopped my timer at one point for a few seconds so my final time was approximately 42:30.
Interestingly, my final time about two years ago was also about 42 minutes. So I am pleased to still be able to match the effort.
My workout structure includes zero distance running, this is usually the only time I ever run a mile. But I like doing this as a sort of annual test.
This year I happened to do this Murph two days after Memorial Day, at 11pm, after a frustrating game that we endured a walk off loss. I had adrenaline and a tad bit of rage perhaps, probably why my first mile was decent. I do think if I'd ever try to test my mile max effort I could get sub 5:30, but, it has no use for me as a baseball player π

FIRST START HIGHLIGHTS βΎοΈ
Great to be back on the bump for a strong 7 innings on 109 pitches.
Focus was to just pump strikes and not try to be too fancy. The turf mound was not great to push off of, which made it feel like I was throwing "all arm" - but it's key to never make excuses and just adapt to the environment.
Interestingly, all 7 strikeouts were swinging. Grateful for the opportunity to compete and ready to build off of it.
