Work on Monday feels like doing a triathlon....with no training.

Do you know who has put the training in? All of the No Coasters who raced at USAT Nationals in Milwaukee this weekend. That's right...Medal Monday is here!

On Saturday, we have several No Coasters racing the Olympic Distance.

Bennett Jackson crossed the finish line in a time of 2:19:11. His splits were a 25:20 swim, a 1:01:55 bike and a 46:24 run.

Makenzy Heder had a 3:01:04 finish almost beating Coach Tony! She had a 39:46 swim, a 1:19:42 bike and a 53:32 run.

Limitless athlete Bonnie Suetsugu raced the sprint distance on Sunday in a time of 1:46:56. Her splits were a 19:29 swim, a 43:22 bike and a 36:16 run.

We have a couple of shout out to friends of No Coasting Coaching. First up, Trace McConnell finished in a time of 2:53:45. He had splits of 30:28 swim, a 1:22:45 bike and a 51:45 run. This was enough to qualify him for Worlds in Hamburg.

Coach Tony was also out there racing this weekend. He finished in a time of 3:00:01. He had splits of a 29:39 swim, a 1:19:20 bike and a 1:00:54 run.

Bend over and try to touch your toes.

Now reach down and pretend to dead lift some dumbells off the ground.

Bend over and touch your toes.

You’re welcome.

NCC 1st ever Madison mini camp

08/04/2026

No Coasting Coaching had its first ever mini camp in Madison Wisconsin this past weekend. While there were no arts and crafts or campfire songs, the campers swam, biked and ran around the Madison area. Some were preparing to take on Ironman Madison this year while others were using the weekend to focus on learning and honing skills.

We are planning on making this an annual event. We will be announcing dates for 2027 at the beginning of the year.

The staff (aka Sherpa Jen) at No Coasting Coaching is a bit of a self proclaimed nerd. I thought I would share some year to date statistics for 2026 so far.

The No Coasters have participated in running only races, bike only races, duathlons, an Otillo, Aquabike and various distance triathlons from Super Sprint to full Ironmans.

Current number of races that are planned for the year that we know about (people like to register for races and not tell us): 121

Number of races that No Coasters have started: 69 (57% of our racing is complete for the year)
Number of races that No Coasters have finished: 67
Number of Age Group Podiums: 19 (10 1st Place, 5 2nd Place, and 4 3rd Place). That is 27.5% podium rate.
Number of Gender Podiums: 4 (1 1st Place, 1 2nd Place and 2 3rd Place)
Number of Overall Podiums: 2 (1 2nd Place and 1 3rd Place)

Great work everyone. There is still a lot of racing left this season! Keep up the great work.
