Chicago Marathon Aid Station 1 Volunteers

Volunteer with us! Come join the Alpine Runners as we welcome 55,000 runners from around the globe who come to run this world class marathon. Alpine will once again be supporting Aid Station 1 at the Chicago Marathon. We are located at about mile 1.6 (at State St. in front of Macy's) and are looking to recruit volunteers to pass out water and Gatorade to the runners. This is arguably the best location on the course because you can volunteer, get your free Nike hat and jacket, then after your shift (volunteers are done before 10am), you can go a few blocks west and catch your runners at various other points on course.

Volunteer uniform
At check-in, you will receive a complimentary jacket, hat and credential. All three of the provided items must be visible at all times throughout your volunteer shift.

Volunteer policies: To help make this year’s race a successful and positive experience for everyone, we expect volunteers to abide by the volunteer policies and note:
We require all volunteers to be 14 years of age or older on the day of the event and accompanying minors are not permitted.

Volunteers are required to present photo identification at check-in.
Volunteers are discouraged from bringing bags or other personal belongings to the event.
