The 2026 Summer Classic Invitational Clout and Flight was a blast! We had a great crowd and raised some funds to keep our scrappy little south side club going.

Thank you so much to all our volunteers who made sure the registration table ran smoothly, and lunch was served without a hitch.

Thanks to Wheaton Rifle Club, Blackwell Traditional Archers, Kishwaukee Archers, Lincoln Park Archery Club, and all the friends who came out to shoot and support us. We appreciate you!

Anyone can win, all archers and styles welcome! This event is best for recurve and longbow (and other traditional styles), but compound is allowed under certain guidelines (just so you don't send an arrow into the next zipcode!)

REACH Weekend Adventure Camp: Refugee youth participants practiced #archery, #chess, and other board games during this weekend’s camp session. At REACH, we encourage each youth to develop a #growthmindset by learning to embrace imperfections, reframe challenges as opportunities, seek feedback, reflect, and celebrate the successes of others. Activities like archery promote this approach, as young archers learn not to attach their self-worth to their performance - developing the skills to analyze their shots with a calm mind and to identify areas for improvement without judgement. Like archery, chess and other board games help young people develop better control of their own brains, including more organized thoughts, better planning, better visualization, and better focus. These are skills that can be used on anything. The result is more efficient and effective learning in general. A compound release was left behind at the Blackwell Forest Preserve outdoor archery range this week (Warrenville). As we have members who utilize this range we are hoping to reunite this release with its owner!

If you are missing a very nice compound release and shoot at Blackwell please message us to claim the release. You will be asked for the style, brand and/or color of the release as proof of ownership.
