The Inaugural Legacy Race was one for the books! I’m so proud to have been a small part in making this event possible and super grateful to have been given the chance to be your MC for race day. Whether you’re a regular competitor or this was your first fitness competition, I will never pass up an opportunity to be your biggest cheerleader, motivator, and accountability partner. While this was the first, it definitely won’t be the last. And you’ll hear me on the mic 🎤 at the next one. Until then, over and out.

Not the NYC post I was planning on making, but when life gives you 🍋🍋…

Due to a severe thunderstorm, all Hyrox Pro Doubles waves were cancelled on Saturday night. The call was made roughly 30 minutes before our start, which means we were already in the warmup area when the decision was made to cancel the remaining waves. This was obviously incredibly disappointing because we have been working so hard for so many weeks and were ready to show off our efforts. But weather is outside of our control and that’s the risk you take when signing up for an outdoor event. And while Hyrox isn’t perfect, the response from the organization regarding our race credit and options moving forward has been positive thus far. Fingers crossed we can get into another race in 2026.

Despite the disappointment, I always choose to look at the glass half full. I got to meet some cool people, eat some amazing food, see an incredible show, and spend a weekend with a best friend. So all in all, I’ll take it. Until next time, and let the training continue…🗽🍎🫶🏼

Chi town, you were good to us. Official race photos followed by some unofficial city girl shenanigans. Thankful beyond words for a body that’s capable, a partner that’s driven, a coach that’s supportive, and friends that are always along for the ride. Definitely a weekend I’ll never forget. 🩵

Full race recap to come, but BEYOND proud of what and I accomplished this weekend. Not only did we cut close to 7 minutes off our overall time, but we did so while moving from the Open Division into the Women’s Pro Division. So now it’s time to get serious. 😈
