Danielle Miura's approach to volunteering with NAPFA reflects the same instinct that drives her work as an advisor: bring people together, listen well, and help turn ideas into action. As Local Groups Chair for the West Region Board of Directors, she focuses on helping members feel supported and connected across the region.

"What I love most is bringing local group leaders together and hearing what's working for them," she says. "Watching those conversations grow into collaborations that strengthen our whole region has been the most rewarding part."

That commitment to connection extends to her firm, Spark Financials, where she works with women in midlife navigating major financial transitions. Her philosophy is straightforward: "I invest my clients' money in themselves first. The most valuable investment isn't always in the markets. It's their health, happiness, and personal growth."

Mike leads the Northern New Jersey Local Group, where he hosts a quarterly study group focused on networking and expanding members' knowledge. For Mike, the value of showing up is straightforward: the more you give, the more you get.

Mike founded MJM Financial Advisors, LLC, a Fee-Only RIA, after holding senior roles at JP Morgan Asset Management, Alliance Capital Management, and Dean Witter Discover & Company. He began his career as an auditor at KPMG's New York City office, bringing a background in strategic planning, forecasting, and financial analysis to his work as an advisor.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: M. Eden Bowen, MS, CFP® 🌟

Eden Bowen's path to financial planning wasn't a straight line, but her commitment to the profession has been unwavering. As South Region chair to the national board, she helps strengthen engagement across one of NAPFA's largest geographic areas, spanning from Texas to Virginia to Florida.

One of Eden's proudest contributions has been helping reignite local groups that went quiet during the pandemic. Today, the South Region has more than 10 active local groups meeting regularly, led by volunteers she describes as "truly engaged." In her words: "When members feel supported, the whole organization thrives."

That belief extends to how Eden approaches her work at Fee-Only Financial Planning, LC, where she serves client families alongside her own. Many clients have been with the firm for decades, with relationships now spanning multiple generations.

Eden's advice: "Volunteering with NAPFA has been the best decision for my professional development. It's helped me grow as a leader, meet incredible people, and build friendships that will last a lifetime."
