This past Saturday, Chicago Fire Hockey brought home the championship at the Fire & Ice Tournament! We’re incredibly proud of our players for their hard work, determination, and commitment all weekend.

A huge thank you to Arlington Heights Firefighters L-3105 Des Plaines Professional Firefighters Association IAFF Local 4211 The Yard Foundation and everyone who volunteered, supported us, and helped make the tournament a success. We couldn’t do it without our families, friends, fans, and everyone who continues to stand behind this team.

What a weekend of hockey. We battled hard, made an incredible run, and while we came up just short in the championship game, we’re proud of the effort, heart, and brotherhood this team showed every time we stepped on the ice.

A huge thank you to Project Fire Buddies Hockey, volunteers, officials, and every team that made this an awesome event. We appreciate the competition and the memories made along the way.

We are incredibly grateful to the Chicago Police Stars Hockey Team for their generous donation of two custom hockey jerseys in honor of our brother, Firefighter Michael “Mickey” Altman.

These jerseys are more than just memorabilia—they represent the unwavering bond between the Chicago Fire Department and the Chicago Police Department. They serve as a lasting tribute to Mickey’s legacy and the friendships that extend far beyond the rink.
