🌅 Join the DanceWorks Chicago family and set sail with Wendella on their popular Sunset Cruise as Team DWC continues its journey to sunset!

DanceWorks Chicago is proud to have contributed to the city’s cultural landscape, so let’s celebrate the city and what we have achieved together by enJOYing views of the skyline and being in commUNITY!

DATE: Wednesday, August 5
TIME: 7pm-8:30pm (boarding begins at 6:30pm)
LOCATION: Board at the Wendella Dock, 400 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611
DURATION: 90 minutes
TICKETS: $20 for children ages 4-12 (children under 4 years old are free), $45 for adults

NOTE: This is a public cruise (not a private rental). Please refer to the Wendella website for information; contact Wendella directly with questions and to purchase tickets.

BONUS: Navy Pier Summer Fireworks include shows at 9pm on Wednesdays, so for those who want a little post-sunset cruise afterglow, there is an option to catch the 10-minute show once you disembark from the boat.

⭐️ DanceWorks Chicago is on the other side of AlwaysMoving Day, having moved out of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, our home since January 2008, earlier this month.

🌅 DWC’s MICROGRANT season is winding down! Applications from Chicago-based movers 18-30 years young working in any dance genre are being accepted for microgrants of up to $500 for tuition-based professional development offerings. Team DWC crafted this opportunity to support individual artists as well as keep money circulating in the sector.

➡️ Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis (meaning as they are submitted). The microgrant fund is almost at capacity with 85% of grants allocated. The application deadline is June 30; however, when funds are depleted, that’s it. NO exceptions.
