🥋 WINS AND LOSSES ARE JUST PRACTICE.
At this level, every time two competitors step onto the mat, there will be a winner and there will be a loser. That’s competition!
But both athletes have something to learn.
Sometimes winning actually makes the lesson harder to see. You get your hand raised, you celebrate, and it’s easy to believe you competed perfectly.
You didn’t.
There were positions you could have handled better. Opportunities you missed. Decisions you could have made faster. The win can hide those lessons.
When you lose, the lesson is usually much easier to find.
The mistake is right there. The position that needs work is exposed. The hole in your game becomes obvious.
That’s why at BELIEVE Jiu-Jitsu, we want young competitors to understand that winning and losing are both part of the game of Jiu Jitsu, but the larger lesson is these prepare you for real life.
A medal tells you what happened today.
What you learn from it determines who you become tomorrow.
Win. Lose. Learn. Adjust. Get back on the mat. Believe.
That’s how champions are built.
