IT WAS TOO EASY.

After grinding through the Gateway West, Great Plains Football Club boat raced St. Louis Stars Soccer Club to a 5-0 win in the Gateway Conference Final.

This follows their Select League Championship in 2025, their rebrand, and a subsequent entry into the Midwest Premier League.

The Bison establish a great precedent for the Kansas City area.

STANDINGS

📊 We are just past the halfway mark of the MWPL season, and every division is shaping up to deliver a dramatic second half. 🔴⚫

Bavarian United SC is setting the pace in Heartland Division 1, but they’ve got strong company close behind. In Division 2, the fight for promotion is one of the tightest in the league, with just a few points separating the top half of the tables.

In the Great Lakes Conference, FC Pontiac continues their strong campaign in the East, while Lansing Common FC holds the top spot out West, but both divisions remain open.

Over in the Gateway Conference, AFC Columbia has been efficient in the West, while the Gateway East is anyone’s game with Ehtar Belleville FC leading a tightly packed field.

WEST SIDE, WHO’S THE BEST SIDE?

The Gateway West has been the most competitive division in the Midwest Premier League. Great Plains FC and Woodland FC are in the thick of it with AFC Columbia, and the game of inches stood still when the former two played to a draw on Monday.
