deo, sports and parachuting, Dave returned to the dance floor in 1983 as a competitive dancer and trained under the guidance of various world champions in Ballroom, Modern Dance, Country Western, West Coast Swing and Latin. Today, dynamic energy and a passion for musical rhythms inspire Dave to choreograph and teach in an eclectic meld of Latin, Swing, Ballroom, Jazz and Country Western. Prior to the past 20 years as a professional dance instructor, Dave earned his Masters in Dance and Theater from Florida State University and is a proud recipient of 13 National Grand Championship titles. He has been called upon to teach all over the Untied States, South America, Spain, Germany, Mexico and Canada. As a choreographer, Dave Urquidez is deeply in tune with both the adult and child perspectives, creating dance routines that capture students' enthusiasm, depth, humor and competitive spirit - whatever their age!
