Thank you!!
Nearly 70 years of summer days, swimming lessons, cannonballs, first leaps off the diving board and memories have been made at Johnson Pool. Now, thanks to you, there are so many more still to come.

Cheyenne, we are indescribably grateful for your support of the 6th Penny proposition to help rebuild Johnson Pool. As our community’s only public outdoor pool, Johnson has provided generations of Cheyenne families with an affordable place to swim, play, learn, and celebrate summer together. Your vote means we get to carry that tradition forward and create a new place of recreation for all ages. One that can serve our community for generations to come.

With 70 years of memories driving us forward, we can’t wait to see what the next 70 bring.

From all of us at Community Recreation & Events, thank you, Cheyenne. Truly đź’™

There's something about the last hot days of summer in Cheyenne. The ones that sent families from around town straight to Johnson Pool for one more splash before school started.

For more than 70 years, that pool was where the community cooled off and made memories. Johnson Pool closed its doors in 2025 after decades of wear, but a 6th Penny project is up for consideration on August 18th. The project would fund the finalization of its replacement in Lincoln Park.

Got a favorite Johnson Pool memory? Drop your old photos in the comments. We'd love to see them

After more than 70 years of summer memories, Johnson Pool in South Cheyenne closed in 2025. Decades of wear meant costly repairs, delayed openings, and short seasons. This project funds the final design and construction of its replacement in Lincoln Park.

This means...
- Space for 200-300 swimmers (Up from only 80!)
- Full ADA accessibility
- A new bathhouse and concession stand
- Extended-season design with an operable roof and walls

For voters’ consideration, the project will appear on the 2026 6th Penny Ballot as Proposition 12. The election is next week, on August 18th.

Good afternoon! Frontier Days are here and we have a couple updates for you. First, the Aquatic center will close at 5PM every day during Frontier Days starting tomorrow. Second we will not rent paddle boards or boats this weekend or next starting tomorrow 7/17 due to limited parking in Lions Park. Lastly, please only park at the Aquatic Center if you are using the facility. We want to ensure our patrons have a place to park if they are here to swim.

Thank you and have a safe Frontier Days!
