We are thrilled to welcome tennis professional, Chris Biesterfeld, to the Forest Lake team!

A native of St. Louis, Chris began teaching tennis in 2011 when his daughter started playing. Tennis has been a lifelong family passion, heavily inspired by his dad, who loved the game—it is truly in their blood. The Biesterfeld family was even honored as the USTA St. Louis District Family of the Year in 2016.

Chris has held PTR, USPTA, and RSPA certifications, and is a graduate of the 2018 USPTA Leadership Academy. One of his most cherished coaching memories is leading the Missouri Valley winning team at the USTA National Zonal Event in Nebraska in the summer of 2019, where he connected with amazing coaches and players from across the country. After running his own successful junior program out of Clayton Shaw Park until 2024, Chris expanded his coaching expertise by earning his CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification.

An exciting week at nearby Bellerive Country Club led to an exciting visit at Forest Lake! We were thrilled to have members of Rory McIlroy's team use their downtime to play tennis on our indoor courts. Thanks to all of them for visiting us and congrats to Rory on a great tournament!
