Our sons have never had a losing season in any sport, so this football season has definitely been a new life experience for us. 🏈
Yesterday, the 10U WESLEY CHAPEL COYOTES FOOTBALL & CHEER fell 14–12 to their rival, the Wesley Chapel Bulls Youth Football & Cheer, in an absolute BATTLE. 🔥
And the crazy part?
We loved everything about this tough loss.
A few weeks ago, we honestly questioned whether we would return next season. Not because of the coaching or the organization—both have welcomed our family with open arms and treated us amazingly—but because we just weren’t seeing the heart from the team. 💭
Week after week, boys were literally crying on the sidelines. Quitting. Not wanting to come back. Heads were down. The confidence just wasn’t there.
Yesterday, ALL OF THAT CHANGED. 🙌
Every single boy who stepped onto that field was a WARRIOR. 🐺💪
The hits were VICIOUS. They found their swagger. They fought for every single inch. Nobody backed down. Nobody quit.
….And the families on the sidelines? They SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT!!! 📣👏🎉
Football is a violent, physical sport. Some boys aren’t built for it—and that’s perfectly fine. 🏈
But when you get to watch boys dig deep, overcome fear, find confidence, and start turning into young men right in front of your eyes…
Well, that’s worth a hell of a lot more than putting a W in the standings of a 10U football league. ❤️
Yesterday wasn’t a loss to us.
It was the PROUDEST we’ve been all season.
Keep fighting. Keep growing. Keep that swagger.
