Mark your calendars! Our annual Touch a Truck event is Saturday 9/12 at Cheney Middle School from 10am to Noon. Come bring the family by and see all of the cool vehicles. While the Cheney Aquatic Center’s official season ended Monday, August 24, the generosity of some incredible community partners is giving us one more weekend of summer fun!

Thanks to Stacy & Tom Brunke, Tom & Ardy, Friends of the Cheney Pool, and Spokane Parks Foundation, the Cheney Aquatic Center will be open FREE to the community this Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30!

11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
2:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.

This special weekend is only possible because of the amazing people who continue to support the Cheney community. Thank you!

Come join us this Saturday 8/29 at 10:30am to celebrate our new pickleball courts! We will have some pick-up style doubles games of pickleball and tennis on our newly resurfaced courts! All ages and ability levels are welcome! No paddle, racket, or partner is necessary. You can borrow one from us! Courts our located on the corner of Cedar and 7th by Hagelin Park.

🏐🏀⚽Do you love sports and want a way to be involved in your community?? We are in need of some coaches for this fall! We need flag football and soccer coaches. Practice starts the day after labor day. Reach out to Kylar Hunt ([email protected]) if interested! Coaches must be 16 years or older. Great way to earn some community service hours while creating fun memories for local kids !

A huge thank you to EWU Volleyball, Coach Jon Haruguchi, and his staff for hosting a free volleyball camp for Cheney Parks & Recreation’s youth volleyball players today at Hagelin Park, and then continuing the fun with the kids at the Cheney Aquatic Center!

What an awesome group of young ladies! We’re grateful for the time they spent with our kids. Go Eags!
