Hello Birds!!
It was so nice seeing all of your Back to School boards and pics. Heidi also got her 33rd run! She shared that her favorite memory is that run club is a good change of pace to get her outside her comfort zone, meeting new people and being social with all of us. Congrats Heidi!!

Hello Birds!
Shirts have arrived! I'll try to show up a bit early so people can pick them up.
Thanks to everyone for trying out the mass start at 6:00pm. We'll try it for a few more weeks, but if you have feedback let me know.
See you tomorrow!

Congratulations this week to Vincent on his 8th run! He shared his flightless bird fact that flightless birds have larger joints compared to flying birds. Congratulations Vincent!!

Hello Birds!
Come join us for our inaugural Throwback Thursday Run! Where we find old runs from the past when we used to meet at parks, and even Napa (it was a Mexican restaurant back then).
Tomorrow meet at Crunks Sports Complex on Mike McKeehan Way at 5:45pm, run at 6:00pm. See the route below. It's about 4 miles, but being an out and back you can make it shorter if needed.
Hope to see you all there (fingers crossed the smoke keeps dissipating).

Hello Birds,
First off, apologies for the switcheroo on the run last week due to the AQI. I know some of you were all ready to go with my first post, then were frustrated and upset at the second post cancelling the run only a few minutes later. Going forward, I'll try to get the most current AQI data before I make my decision. This might mean, if it's close, that the final cancellation decision might happen closer to 5:15/5:30. Again, I apologize for the uncertainty with the current smoke situation, but ultimately if the AQI is above 150 run club will be cancelled. We don't want people to feel pressured to come run in hazardous conditions. Other local activities are being cancelled at this AQI, and so that's what we are using to make our decision. That being said, if you feel comfortable running above this, you are welcome to come anyways and/or just come hang out. We are still intending to still be there to say "hi" and hang out, even if we do not have an official run.
If you are interested in tracking the AQI, I've found that https://map.purpleair.com/ seems to have the most visible sensors, with the current reading (plus 10min averages) and a nice graph to see previous data.
Thank you all and hopefully we'll see you tomorrow.
Stay safe,
Alison & Theo

Hey Birds,
Couple of runner milestones I want to acknowledge! Last week, Becky and Ryan shared their 33rd run "favorite moments with the club." Becky's was meeting everybody (especially Chris and Jane) :-) and Ryan's was doing the reindeer dash and having the Moose photographer (aka Me) jump out of the bushes...and also the donuts at the end. Congrats Becky and Ryan!

Hey birds! Look like I spoke too soon. The app updated and we crept up significantly in the last hour, So out of an abundance of caution run club will be officially cancelled tonight. Apologies for giving you all false hope only a few minutes ago. Stay safe and see you all next week.

Looks like the weather cooperated for us! I'm seeing an AQI of 143 in Cheney (updated at 4pm) so it looks like tonight's run is a go! If it does creep up in the next hour please be careful, safe, and use your best judgement for your and your health.
