Pilates is allll about small, controlled movements. It’s not the big flashy moves you see on Instagram (but trust us, there are some wildly challenging exercises within the repertoire itself, we just don’t throw our bodies around)

Take this video for example: you can see the moment that Megan, one of Ari’s clients, finds her deep core on the exhale. Megan is one of our spicier bodies in that she has scoliosis as well as a spinal fusion. Her body requires a lot nuanced work focused on building support, but also helping counteract her spine’s pattern and curvature, so she doesn’t keep putting pressure on her spine directly which causes chronic pain and discomfort - and building a DEEP core connection (we’re talking multifidus, transverse abs, diaphragm, & internal obliques) helps her body greatly!

Not only do these precise exercises help your physical body build control, strength, and stability from the inside out, teaching your body how to breathe and move through daily life more confidently ... they also build a deep connection to yourself by fostering a strong Mind/Body connection. Pilates is just as much mental, as it is physical (and yes, it IS a hard workout 🫠). And honestly, that’s what makes us love the method for what it is, and what truly makes it so freaking magical (and cool!) 🤯

I know I speak for our whole team when I say: we know how lucky we are to spend every day teaching something we love so much. But even more than teaching Pilates, we’re so grateful for the people we get to meet, support, and connect with along the way. 💛

Saturday truly was the perfect day for our Pilates in the Park event - thank you to everyone who came out to join us!! 💛
