We're very encouraged to see the progress being made between CARTA and Lookout Mountain. The Incline Railway is a critical part of Chattanooga’s destination identity and one of the defining experiences that helped make Lookout Mountain an iconic part of our region. For more than 130 years, it has connected visitors to our scenic landscape, our transportation history, St. Elmo, and one of the most recognized places in Tennessee. It is not only a historic transportation asset, but an anchor experience that supports visitor activity, surrounding businesses, and the broader tourism economy. Its continued strength matters to Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain, and the many people and businesses connected to the visitor economy it helps sustain.

WOW. Chattanooga showed up this past week to help us host the Women in Travel Summit, and we are so incredibly proud.

400+ travel creators, influencers, storytellers, and tourism professionals.

50+ tours hosted by our amazing partners, attractions, and local businesses.

800+ tour experiences offered. More than 550 spots filled.

Enjoy this recap of the opening party at the Chattanooga Choo Choo and Hotel Chalet, where we shared the stories, sounds, and spirit of Chattanooga.

From Appalachian fiddle traditions and bluegrass roots to the rich musical legacy of the Big 9 and contemporary local artists pushing creative boundaries, every performance reflected a different chapter of Chattanooga's story.

Guests experienced music from Melody Poke, Not Your Brothers Bluegrass Band, Karen Collins, Danimal Planet, and Courtney Holder—artists whose work connects our city's past, present, and future.

Most importantly, this experience would not have been possible without the support of our partners. Thank you to the attractions, businesses, organizations, and community leaders who hosted tours, welcomed attendees, and helped showcase what makes Chattanooga such a special place to visit.

This was an incredible opportunity to introduce hundreds of influential storytellers to our destination, and we're grateful to everyone who helped make Chattanooga shine.

Bigger events. Bigger impact.

Meetings, conventions, festivals, and sporting events don’t just fill a calendar, they fuel Chattanooga’s economy and create meaningful momentum across our community.

In 2025, events generated $211.4 million in total economic impact—a 16.7% increase year over year.

That’s more than a number. It’s jobs supported, businesses strengthened, and a city that continues to show up in a big way.

Wait… did Spain really choose Chattanooga as their 2026 FIFA World Cup basecamp? šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡øāš½ļø

Yep. Still feels a little surreal to say out loud.

We’re proud to be selected as Spain’s 2026 FIFA World Cup basecamp — and even more excited to show the world what makes this place special.

Mountains. River. Soccer history in the making. Not a bad combo.

The Chattanooga Host City Authority is gearing up for Spain’s National Football Team to arrive in the Scenic City, and we're hosting a community training session this summer at the Baylor School Soccer Complex!

Admission to the event is free, but attendance is limited. Tickets will be distributed through a random drawing — fans have until 5 p.m. on June 1 to put their name in the running. Learn more at: cha.city/spain-training
