Huge congratulations to Jacque on a fantastic race at the Pardeeville Sprint Triathlon! π
One of the things I love most about this sport is that every race teaches us something. We race, we learn, we make small adjustments, and we come back stronger. That's how confidence is built. That's how speed is earned.
Jacque put together a smart, well-executed race from start to finish.
πββοΈ Her open water swim continues to improve with every race, and with it, her confidence.
π΄ββοΈ She rode a strong, controlled bike, setting herself up perfectly for the run.
πββοΈ Then she absolutely kicked ass on the run, chasing people down all the way to the finish!
Watching Jacque's confidence grow with every race has been one of the most rewarding parts of this season. Stronger splits, smarter ex*****on, and a willingness to keep learning - that's what creates long-term success.
Coaching is about so much more than workouts and race results. Over time, you get to know the person behind the athlete, and that is one of the greatest gifts of this journey. It has been such a privilege to witness Jacque grow - not just as a triathlete, but as a person. I truly cherish the relationship we've built and the opportunity to be part of her journey.
Proud of you, Jacque! Keep trusting the process. π

Waterfront Triathlon βοΈπ₯
One of the hottest and most competitive local triathlons of the season. Brutal heat, rough roads, and a race that demanded smart ex*****on from start to finish.
Austin, Jose, and I lined up ready to take it on.
π I brought home the age group win.
π₯ Austin earned yet another podium finish. What's most exciting isn't the podium itself, it's that podiums are becoming the expectation. The progress he's made has been incredible.
πͺ Jose put together one of his best open water swims yet, swimming a shorter distance than I did!!! Those early morning river swims are paying dividends. The bike course was rough, and the run became a battle against the heat, but he dug deep, adapted, and finished strong despite the challenges.
I love celebrating podiums, but I love celebrating progress even more. Watching athletes put in the work week after week and seeing it come together on race day never gets old.
Proud of this crew and excited to see what the rest of the season has in store!

Pleasant Prairie Sprint Triathlon βοΈ
Another weekend, another breakthrough for Jacque! π
πββοΈ Fastest run split in her age group
π΄ββοΈ 2nd fastest bike split in her age group
The biggest victory wasn't the splits - it was the confidence. After a tough experience on this swim course last year, Jacque stayed calm, controlled, and trusted her training, even through heavy swim traffic.
Racing on her new bike without a bike computer, she rode completely by feel, proving that all the work in training has taught her exactly what race effort should feel like. A crosswind made handling those deep wheels an adventure, but she still hit over 30 mph on one section and came away knowing there's even more speed to unlock.
Pleasant Prairie is known for its hot, exposed, mentally demanding run course, but Jacque embraced the challenge, laying down the fastest run in her age group. That's the reward for months of consistent training!
What impresses me most is that she's already looking ahead - more open water practice, faster transitions, and continued bike development. That's the mindset that keeps moving the needle.
Congratulations, Jacque! Your hard work is paying off, and you're getting stronger, faster, and more confident with every race. Proud of you! π

A week late... but this one is definitely worth celebrating! π
Huge congratulations to Jay on taking 1st Overall in the Half Marathon at the Forever 29 Run! π
It was a scorching hot Chattanooga morning, making every mile that much tougher, but Jay stayed focused, pushed through the conditions, and came away with the overall win. The Forever 29 Run is a beautiful event that honors the life and legacy of Taylor Haggard while supporting families affected by epilepsy - a reminder that running can be about so much more than the finish line. π
Now it's time to shift gears! Watching several of my run athletes make the leap into triathlon has been so much fun! There's always something new to learn, new challenges to embrace, and new accomplishments waiting on the other side.
Congratulations again, Jay! I'm excited to see what's next as we dive into triathlon training. ππ΄π

Huge congratulations to Austin on his 1st Place finish at the Music City Sprint Triathlon, winning the Tennessee State Championship title, and earning his spot at Nationals! π
Every race, Austin gets a little faster and a lot smarter. He's dialing in the details-getting comfortable with rubber bands for his bike mounts, learning how to pace the bike, and recently making the switch to running with power. The result? A new run Critical Power, a new bike FTP and a Podium Finish. π
What I love most is how committed he is to learning and improving. He asks questions, trusts the process, and keeps getting better.
It's hard to believe this all started by watching his wife cross the finish line of a 70.3. What began as inspiration has turned into a complete transformation, and now he's hungry for bigger goals.
Nationals, here we come! Time to throw him into the big pond and see what happens. Proud of you, Austin! π

RUN CHA 5K πββοΈπββοΈ
Fun morning at the RUN CHA 5K!
I was lucky enough to finish as 2nd Female Overall, and Jay took 3rd in his age group after a hard fall on a slippery road following the rain. Road rash, bleeding, and bruised up but he got back up, finished strong, and never stopped smiling. That's grit that watch can not measure.
One of my favorite things about racing is getting to hang out with my athletes before the start and celebrate with them at the finish. Watching people challenge themselves and achieve their goals never gets old.
Races don't always go as planned, but perseverance matters more than perfect conditions.
Congrats to everyone who showed up and got it done. A pretty great way to kick off Global Running Day Week! β€οΈ

Another weekend, another set of shiny PRs β¨π₯
Huge congratulations to Jay and Bylinda for absolutely crushing the Race to Save the Laurel Dace 10K!
π Jay placed 1st in his age group
π Bylinda placed 2nd in her age group
β‘ BOTH athletes ran 10K PRs!
And one of my favorite parts? Bylinda got to race alongside her husband and son β€οΈ I absolutely LOVE seeing families out there doing hard things together, cheering each other on, and creating memories.
These performances didnβt happen by accident. Consistent work. Trusting the process. Showing up week after week. And now weβre seeing fitness build at exactly the right time as Jay and Bylinda continue progressing toward their A-races. Let's GO! π

Some finish lines mean more. β€οΈ
Last Saturday, Raven completed her very first triathlon at 75 years young.
This dream sat in her heart for TEN YEARS⦠and this weekend, she crossed that finish line with the biggest smile on her face and all of us cheering her on with joyful tears in our eyes.
And the beautiful thing? Raven did not just finish a triathlon. She reminded every single person around her that it is NEVER too late to chase your dreams. Never too late to start. Never too late to become stronger. Never too late to surprise yourself.
I honestly donβt even have words for how proud I am of this incredible woman.
Raven is one of those rare humans who makes the world brighter everywhere she goes. Somehow she becomes friends with everyone she meets. Her energy, positivity, kindness, curiosity, and joy for life are contagious. Being around her and her husband feels like taking a deep breath and remembering what really matters.
I soak in every moment I spend with them - learning about nature, healing herbs, slowing down, appreciating simple moments, laughing more, living more fully. They are truly some of the happiest people I have ever met in my life.
And yesterday, watching her push through nerves, trust herself, and accomplish something she dreamed about for a decade was one of the most special moments Iβve ever experienced as a coach.
There were hugs. Tears. Smiles. So much joy. And a finish line I will never forget.
Raven, thank you for inspiring all of us. You are proof that the human spirit is limitless. β€οΈ

Season opener SUCCESS πββοΈπ΄ββοΈπββοΈ
What an incredibly fun day at the inaugural Fall Creek Falls Sprint Triathlon! The park was absolutely beautiful, the hills were no joke, and my heart is so full after getting to race alongside my athletes and friends. β€οΈ
Jacque, Lisa, Raven and I all kicked off our tri season together, while Austin added another strong race to his season. Everybody raced so well and left with confidence heading into some BIG goals later this year.
Highlights of the day:
β¨ Raven completed her FIRST TRIATHLON EVER at 75 YEARS YOUNG
β¨ Lisa and Jacque had fantastic races and strong finishes grabbing 1st in AG
β¨ Austin grabbed 2nd in his AG
β¨ I was lucky enough to take Overall Female
But honestly, the best part wasnβt the results. It was watching my athletes push through nerves, climb tough hills, trust their training, cross the finish line smiling, and then celebrate together with hugs, high fives, laughter, and stories afterward. THIS is why I love coaching.
Triathlon is hard. It is challenging. It pushes you outside your comfort zone. But it is also empowering, joyful, and full of the most amazing people. β€οΈ
We are just getting started this season π₯

I was honored to be selected as a highlighted coach this month by USA Triathlon.
What means the most to me isnβt the recognition itself, but what it represents. Coaching, for me, has always been about helping athletes discover what they are capable of, building confidence through the process, and creating an environment where people feel supported, seen, and challenged in the right ways.
This feature also included something I care deeply about - education. My work around women-specific training is now part of a CEU offering for other coaches, focused on helping them better support female athletes with more individualized approaches.
Iβm a big believer that coaching should never stand still. Iβll always keep learning, evolving, and sharing what I can with both my athletes and the coaching community.
To my athletes - thank you for trusting me, for showing up, and for putting in the work. Your growth, your breakthroughs, and your resilience are what make this work so meaningful.π
