Congratulations to the middle school cheerleaders! Under the leadership of their coach, Morgan Mason-King, they had a great week at UCA Cheer Camp, and they did extremely well, bonding and making memories together as a group.

Their achievements included:

🥈2nd place in Gameday Spirit Day Routine
🥇 1st place in the Overall Junior High division
🇺🇸 7 All-American cheerleaders selected
🎗️1 pin in forward
🥇One student, Olivia, won the junior high jump off contest

Congratulations to Sarah Jane, who finished second in the State Track Meet in the 800 meters running a time of 2:19.91 which also broke the school record! She has been named as a Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-State runner!

Congratulations to these Silverdale student athletes who were honored this year as being the Best of Preps by the Times Free Press! A ceremony was held at Memorial Auditorium last night to celebrate the top-performing high school athletes in our area from the 2025-2026 school year, and these nine SBA athletes were singled out as being the best of the best in their respective sports.

SBA hosted a girls' team basketball camp this week, and both the Silverdale Center gym and the upper gym have been full of activity! The camp gives teams an opportunity for competition in a short-game format against teams they don't necessarily play during the regular season. This year there were 26 schools participating! Our JV and Varsity teams had multiple short games over the past three days, giving fans a preview months ahead of the winter sports season.

Silverdale Baptist Academy is excited to announce SBA alumna and former Lady Seahawks standout Marissa (Hamilton) Keele as our new Head Girls Soccer Coach!

A former collegiate athlete at Trevecca Nazarene University and youth coach with Chattanooga FC, Coach Keele currently serves in the field of clinical mental health counseling while pursuing her Master’s degree. She brings a unique perspective to coaching that emphasizes the development of the whole person—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Her commitment to faith, leadership, and personal growth makes her a perfect fit to lead our program into the future.

Congratulations to the members of our Track and Field team who competed at the state meet in Knoxville today!

🥈Sarah Jane (Class of 2027) broke the school record and ran a 2:19.91 in the 800 meters, taking second place in the state!
🏅Luke (Class of 2027) took fifth place in the state in discus and eighth place in shot put.
🏅Faith (Class of 2026) took eighth place in shot put.
🏅Gracey (Class of 2027) finished eighth in pole vault
🏅Sarah Jane tied for seventh in high jump.
🏅Rachel (Class of 2026) took eighth in the long jump
🏅The team of Susannah and Anna (Class of 2029), Poppy (Class of 2028), and Sarah Jane took seventh place in the 4 x 800 meter relay.

We are so proud of these athletes! Way to go, Seahawks!

The second and final day of the flag football state tournament started out with a very tough quarterfinal game. Silverdale won the game with sheer athleticism and grit. The second game was equally challenging against a team they had beaten the day before, but they ultimately lost by just one run in that semi-final game. This team had a very impressive second season and we can't wait to see what they will do next year!

Congratulations to Maddux, a finalist for the Mookie Betts Mr. Baseball award in Class D2A, nominated by the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association (TBCA). It is a huge honor to be a finalist, and this standout player makes us proud!

Our varsity baseball team made it all the way to the Elite 8 in the state tournament, falling to Grace Christian in the quarterfinals. They played a doubleheader in Franklin, losing the first game by just a single run. The second loss meant an end to their season, but they held their heads high knowing they had played their best this season and had "come to the field with value, not for value." We are so proud of this team! Thank you, Coach Rorex and the Seahawks, for showing great character, playing some great baseball, and giving your fans a lot to cheer about!
