We usually write these captions about our athletes… but this time, we’re handing it over. This one’s straight from Fiona ❤️⚡️
What a difference a year makes!
When I filmed this interview, Team RepScheme was honestly the consistent daily routine and rock holding my focus together. I was navigating a job change in a new country, mixed in with all the usual life stresses that somehow seem to arrive at once, and I was feeling pretty lost.
Hence why I dyed my hair dark brown and rocked the vampire look for a few months, because apparently that helps 😂🧛♀️
CrossFit has helped me become a much stronger and more confident version of myself, inside and out. And since joining Team RepScheme, the bar (forgive the pun) for “living well” was raised to a completely different level. I’m inspired by the people around me every single day.
Alcohol went out the window. It was holding me back, so bye bye. Eating well became a priority if I had any chance of recovering while training alongside these weapons 😂 And somewhere along the way, wanting to be better outside the gym came with it too.
Earlier this year, I made the CrossFit Open Quarterfinals for the first time. A few days later, at a point where I genuinely felt the healthiest I’d ever been, I found out I was pregnant. 🤰🏻❤️
My husband and I were fortunate in the journey to our baby, and I’m so grateful I went into this chapter having spent years building the healthiest and strongest version of myself.
Now, at nearly 7 months pregnant, I’m still training 5 times a week. What’s on my barbell has changed A LOT 😂 but I’m still here. And I can say with absolute certainty that without the encouragement of the coaches and this community, I would not have kept my fitness up the way I have throughout this pregnancy.
So Team RepScheme, THANK YOU. For encouraging me to show up, knowing when to tell me to scale back, and creating a community I genuinely look forward to being part of every day. 🫶❤️
Moments like this where you can really zoom out are pretty cool. To the Fiona from 1 year ago… damn am I proud of you🙏👊🔥
