Something special happens on the water sometimes. My daughter Isla has only fished with me in the harbors for schoolies in years past and yesterday was her first open ocean trip on the boat. Chris Junda was gracious enough to let her accompany us for the morning. After a few decent fish throughout the trip, Isla hooked one that seemed a bit different. She fought the fish like a seasoned vet and when it got boatside I knew we had a special one. The fish taped out at 48” and was heavy. Might be the biggest east side Monomoy fish I’ve had on the boat in 15+ years. Quick shot and back in to find a school of pogies I’m guessing. Truly special and very grateful. Hallmark movie s**t. Way to go Isla Grace.
