SwingCville We are a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing all things swing to Charlottesville! We love to dance and we love teaching others what we know!

In 2009, a small group of Lindy Hop enthusiasts got together and started brainstorming about how to build a swing dance scene in Charlottesville. That year, SwingCville was formed and we started offering classes on a variety of vintage dances; from Lindy Hop to Balboa to Charleston. As we've grown, we have strived to stick to our original ideals: make swing dance accessible to anybody, teach strong fundamentals, and have a whole lotta fun! We are a not-for-profit, volunteer run organization, and it's only through the hard work of dedicated dancers that we can keep this ship sailing. Oops! Nevermind. We still don't have access to our second space from our second venue, so we will NOT have a beginner class this week Aug 19 or next week Aug 26. The Balboa series will be held at the Front Porch at 7pm both days. Sorry folks!

A new 4-week beginner series will start on Sept 2!

Because of unexpected venue changes for our intermediate class this month, we will be switching this week's fundamentals class to be a 101 drop-in class suitable for all levels. We will still have a balboa class in the JB's studio.

NO beginner class next week Aug 26. Our beginner series will restart next month on Wed Sept 2.
