✨ Calling all princes & princesses! Our Fairy Tale Flips camp begins THIS MONDAY, and there are still spots available! ✨

Each day, we will explore a different fairy tale (characters shown above) with themed crafts, games, and gymnastics classes. 🤸‍♂️

But that's not all! We are so excited to be partnering with Character Connections Princess Parties for this wondrous week! Every day, the princess of the day will visit camp for a magical meet-and-greet, including story time & photo ops! 📸

With so much magic in store, your little one is sure to make memories they'll treasure long after the fairy tale ends. 👑

Our office manager Ivan has been hard at work building a platform for our tumble track, doing our taxes, and keeping up with all your emails!

Gryphon coaches will tell you
✨all day ✨ that safety is our priority.

What does that look like when it comes to our competitive team? In their case, STRONG athletes make safe athletes!

This season, we partnered with Coach Kenny from to provide weekly gymnastics strength and conditioning training for our team athletes.

ADAPT specializes in youth training with structured progressions that support athletic development based on age, development, goals, and more. Thus far, our training has prioritized trunk/core strength, bringing awareness to many targeted muscles/movements, and static strength for for tendon health and development.

We’re excited to invest in our gymnasts in
ALL ways, and are honored to have Coach Kenny in our corner (even when he asks for one more set! 😵 😵)

Team coaches will be running an open tryout at 4 pm. You do not need to be a current Gryphon student to tryout, however, gymnastics experience is required. Please reach out to the office for a list of pre-reqs, what to expect, and to register.

Kids aren’t the only ones who !

ConGRADulations to Coach Rena, Coach Mei, and honorary Gryphon, Romi Levy, Coach Faith’s fiancée!

Coach Rena graduated with a degree in Architecture, Coach Mei graduated with a degree in Behavioral Neuroscience, and Romi earned her Masters in Higher Ed with a concentration in Sports Management. She also scored her 1000th career point playing ball at UVA and was voted Teammate of the Year, one of the qualities we value most here at Gryphon 💜

Coach Mei is headed back home to Atlanta to prepare for the MCAT, Coach Faith is also moving to Georgia to start the PA program at Berry College, and Romi is headed to play professionally. Coach Abby has bullied Coach Rena into staying and coaching through the end of summer!

We will miss Coach Mei and Faith so much, and Junior Owner Charlie will miss his hero Romi very much. We will always cherish the positivity and fun they added to our Gryphon family over the last year. Please wish them well in the comments! And Wahoowa!

This month, Gryphon Gymnastics will be donating fundraiser proceeds to in loving memory of Mr. Ivan’s dad, Jorge.

Jorge was a hardworking, kind, family man. He was a wizard at building anything & everything: from home improvements like fencing & driveway pillars to JPJ arena to Hotwheels ramps for our Junior Owner, Charlie. He had an awesome sense of humor and the best laugh in the world.

Leukemia took Jorge far too soon at just 59 years old, and we are honored to support an organization that helps families facing blood cancer in his memory.

If you participate in this month’s fundraiser, thank you for helping us celebrate Jorge’s life and support others walking this difficult road 💜

Also, please grant us grace as Ivan is not up to tackling the email inbox right now and Abby is not great with computers. She’s trying her best, but it will take longer. Thanks for your patience in the next week or so.

Woooooooooweeee! 😮‍💨

We ended the season in a huge way this weekend at the Bronze & Silver Virginia State Meet. The girls packed their best wings and showed everyone how high we fly 🪽

Shout out to Sam & Layla, who placed top 5 in all possible categories (super shoutout to Layla, who also hit not one, not two, but THREE Career High scores)!

And take note of those Vault & Floor placements—they’re extra special because Gryphon doesn’t have a vault runway nor a full size floor 😮

It’s hard to believe that this is the first state meet for some, and only the third ever for Gryphon. These girls seemed like old pros this weekend, and we are so proud of them all! Now that the curtain has closed on the season, we can’t wait to start work on upgrades for next year 🪽🦅🦁🪽

Our Gold & Platinum Gryphons flew HIGH at States this weekend! 💜

Special shoutout to Platinum gymnast Caroline, who earned not just season highs, but CAREER high scores at only her second full meet back after hip surgery in September. We love a comeback story 💪

Huge congratulations as well to Lillyanna and Belen, who absolutely rocked their very first State Meet as Gold gymnasts. We are so proud of the hard work and confidence you both brought to the competition floor! ✨

And of course, AJ, Etalia, and Aria showed up and showed OUT. Amazing performances from all three!

So proud of this group and the heart, resilience, and determination they brought all season long
