Virginia Beach was a BIG weekend for Swarm Black & Mint. 🐝🏐🖤

Lake Norman Swarm 13U Black finished 3rd overall out of 24 teams at the Atlantic Coast Grand Prix after a hard-fought Gold bracket run.

Their battle to reach the Gold final went three sets and came down to a two-point game. They fought, adjusted, stayed together, and made us proud.

And in their first tournament together, Swarm Mint played up a year and earned a spot in the Bronze Championship with high energy, strong rotations, and serious team chemistry. They ran an offense that was a force to be reckoned with!

The best part? Watching our teams support each other all weekend.

This weekend, our Lake Norman volleyball teams 13U Gold, Black & Mint are competing in the Atlantic Coast AAU Grand Prix at the Virginia Beach Sports Center April 25–26, with a bid to AAU Nationals on the line.

Good luck to all of our Swarm athletes taking the court. Play aggressive, communicate loud, stay disciplined, and represent Lake Norman with confidence.

It was an awesome opportunity to train, compete, and learn alongside athletes from across the region while being in the gym with high-level coaches. We love seeing our players continue to grow, gain experience, and represent LKN Swarm so well.

LKN Swarm is growing, and one of our exciting additions we’re making is SportsRecruits.

We added this because many of our athletes have dreams of playing volleyball in college, and we want to be more intentional about helping families prepare for that path. At LKN Swarm, player development in a competitive but fun environment is a huge part of who we are. Our goal is to keep the culture and personal feel of a smaller club while continuing to add the kinds of tools, resources, and opportunities families often look for in larger programs. This is part of that.

SportsRecruits gives athletes a place to build a recruiting profile, organize video, academics, and key information, research schools, and create more direct connections with college volleyball programs. College coaches can use the platform to discover athletes, filter by athletic and academic information, review video, and publish roster needs directly on the platform.

The numbers behind it are strong: SportsRecruits says it has generated 21M+ athlete views by colleges, logged 74K+ athlete commitments, and published 17K+ roster needs by colleges. For volleyball specifically, roster needs are available in women’s volleyball, and the platform is built for student-athletes, college coaches, and club staff.

This is part of phase one, with more to come. We’re excited to continue expanding opportunities for our athletes as we grow 13U–15U for the 2027 season, and tryout dates will be announced soon.
