We are doing a facelift of Winget, primarily to correct a decade of erosion issues, could use a lot of volunteer effort in the next month or so. Work days will be posted on the Charlotte Area Disc Golf Facebook link
Plantation Ruins at Winget Park Disc Golf Course
Plantation Ruins at Winget Disc Golf Course is set on a very old property in Steele Creek.
Plantation Ruins@Winget Park got a small face lift (actually to completed on Saturday)--there are new (virtually indestructible) OB markers on holes 4 and 8 (hole 2 to be added Saturday). These are the fence posts covered by PVC pipe and cap--same OB markers that were added at Angry Beaver, Kilborne, Renny Gold, etc. Thanks to the Charlotte Disc Golf Club for the materials and Mark Huether for help and getting the goods to the course.

The tree that fell on hole 4 is already cleared thanks to club members Sam Nicholson and Tim Hatley for the hard work !

Hole 11 Green
This course has a combination of wooded and (a few) open holes, and is fairly short. DGA donated the Mach V baskets for this course as sponsorship for 2012 Worlds. The course contains ruins of an old plantation house and a couple outbuildings which inspired the course name, The Plantation Ruins.
Designed and built by Sam Nicholson with lots of help from course director Tom Usselman and other CharlotteDGC Volunteers, this course is for the beginner to intermediate player but is tight enough to be interesting for advanced players as well.
