“Records are made to be broken—by those bold enough to chase greatness.” – Unknown

As the 2025 Cape Fear Track & Field season comes to a close this Friday with some individuals competing at the state championship meet, we’re taking a moment to celebrate something truly special: multiple school records shattered across events this year!

From the track to the field, our athletes didn’t just compete—they rewrote the history books with every stride and throw. These records are more than just numbers; they’re the result of early mornings, tough workouts, and a relentless belief in what’s possible.

To every athlete who dared to push beyond the limits—you’ve left a legacy. And to the next generation: the bar has officially been raised.

“Success isn’t given. It’s earned—on the track, in the field, with sweat, with pain, and the will to win.” — Unknown

We’re excited to announce that 25 of our athletes will be on the road to compete in the NCHSAA 3A MidEast Regional Championships on Friday, May 9th at UNC-Pembroke. Every sprint, jump, throw, and mile led to this moment—and now, our Colts are ready to take the next step.

This achievement is more than a reflection of talent—it’s the result of relentless work, unwavering discipline, and a deep commitment to excellence. Our program continues to build on a legacy driven by pride, purpose, and a Culture of Accountability.

Congratulations! WE ARE NOT DONE YET!
