It’s happening!!! The 2026 Lunar New Year begins today!!

February 17, 2026, marks the start of the powerful Year of the Fire Horse in Chinese astrology. The year ahead promises rapid change, vitality, movement, passion, and freedom. Fire Horse years are also known for bringing spiritual transformation.

I believe in the art of astrology. My grandmother was an astrologer; I lived with her when I was growing up. She fostered in me a deep interest in what the stars have to tell us. She did my chart the day I was born, and so much has come to fruition over the years.

I’m really excited about this coming year. Occurring once every 60 years, a Fire Horse year symbolizes intense, rapid, transformative change. It is thought to be a volatile, but highly creative time, favoring decisive, bold action over hesitation. If there is a project or dream you have been putting off, this is the year to git ‘er done! The 2026 Year of the Fire Horse (Feb 17, 2026 – Feb 6, 2027) brings a fast-paced, transformative spiritual energy marked by passion, independence, and a need for bold action. You might also notice yourself breaking free of restrictive, old patterns. It can also be a year of chaos. It might even be a time of a kind of "purification by fire" that burns away illusions.

Release: This can be a year of burning away inauthentic aspects of your life. This year has the potential for a kind of "spiritual initiation" that can turn all the struggles you have previously faced into wisdom and transformation.

Take Action: This is the year to listen to your inner voice, take risks unapologetically, and pursue your inner freedom. It is not a year to be passive; it is a year to stand up and take action. The things you focus on can expand quickly during the energy of a Fire Horse year.

How to Navigate the Energy: Daily grounding techniques are crucial for managing the year's high-speed, often chaotic nature. Spend more time in nature. Cultivate inner calm and trust your inner wisdom, rather than giving in to reckless impulses or burnout.

Last year was a Wood Snake year, a great year of healing, letting go, shedding, and preparing. Now, this Fire Horse year represents bold independence, intensity, building, launching, and expanding projects of the heart. It calls you to go forward with passion and enthusiasm. What does it mean to awaken? In the physical sense awaken is to move from a sleep state to a conscious and aware state. In a spiritual sense I could almost copy and paste that same sentence but instead of saying sleep state I might say an unconscious state or ambivalent state. To awaken is to see life with new eyes, it’s to come seeing life in one way into another way of understanding.

To awaken would be to shift from fear to love, to see life from a limited vantage point to one of empowered possibilities. An awakening could very well lead a shift from ambition to meaning. Once a person awakens they generally do not see life in the way they once did. Life is propelling you out of your routines of autopilot to that where you are making choices in the Flow of your greater expansion!

Before I race off to bed, I want to share a story with you. No, I did not get a reading from Theresa Caputo at tonight's Live Experience...well not from Theresa anyways.

I was sitting in my seat before the event started. A group of guys came in and sat in the seats next to me. A few minutes they all left to get concessions I suppose. A woman sat right on the other side of me, so she was an aisle. There was nobody in the row behind us, so when the group of guys came back they just sat behind us rather than maneuvering their way around us. So it was just me and this lady on the row all by ourselves, sitting right next to her, at this time the guys had not come back though.

I don't recall any lead in or opening statements from this lady, she just randomly started saying she was looking for a medium in the area, but turns out she had died recently. My attention was immediately piqued. Now I know a lot of practitioners of various kinds, but I also acknowledge I don't know every medium in the area. Nonetheless, I was curious, but that place in my stomach where gut hunches happen, I knew whose name I would see if I glanced at her phone. Sure enough...it was...MaryBeth Wrenn!

Those that have known me for sometime, or even caught a tribute post from this past summer might think you know what that meant in that moment. The reality is that would be only a fraction. You see I've been studying metaphysical subjects for 21 years now, and for some reason "Life after the Physical" is the topic that I've read the most on, watched the most on, and probably witnessed the most of. Yet, ironically, I am not a medium nor have an inclination to develop any skill. That being said and that I'm fortunate enough that I don't have anybody I'm strongly yearning to connect with. Maybe because of all this study, I know two things, we all die, and we all continue to live. I go to these events, simply to just experience the connections others have, essentially a real life experience of what I watch on t.v...as far as Theresa's concerned anyways.

So I'm eating my popcorn, waiting for the show to start, and the only person in my row, without precursor conversation brings up my first mentor in the field. If that weren't enough, let me just how validating this was. Going into it having nobody I'd want to connect to, I would think to myself "IFFFFF somebody were to come through, I suppose I'd want it to be MaryBeth.

I quickly let this lady know, I was aware that I knew MaryBeth and that she was a mentor of mine. She asked what I meant by that, and I explained our relationship back then. So I got the only connection I was open to, not by the main medium, but by the random person sitting next to me...before the show even began!!

At the end of the event I thanked her, explained I hadn't come to hear from anybody but if I had it would be MaryBeth, and that this lady was, in fact, the medium herself for me!

So Susan, if you happen to read this. Thank you again for being willing to speak up to the random stranger sitting next to you, and share what you were doing not realizing that MaryBeth was in fact prompting you from the invisible!

How many of you have experience miracles? What is a miracle? A Course in Miracles defines a miracle as a shift in perception. Have you ever seen somebody set in their ways and almost suddenly open their mind to something new? Now THAT is a miracle! Haha No but for real, even what we commonly think of as a miracle, as something happening seemingly out of nowhere. What is really happening is that we are looking for something to occur in one specific way, when Great Spirit has other plans. Since we are so tunnel visioned looking one specific way, we are blindsided by the manifestation happening in another way and perceive it as a miracle. We can actively co-create miracles every day in our lives by being present to our own inner thoughts, and working on healing or shifting any thought form that impedes our progression. A thought like “I am worthless and nobody likes me”, change that to “I am worth more than that imaginable,” is a miracle unto itself.

Passion is the spark that animates you. Passion is the driving momentum that propels you toward creation. Passion is the force of Flow in the stream of co-creation. Random fact: This was the first tarot deck I ever bought, it was when I was 16 in 2003. Nothing traditional just a tiny deck that is literally the size of my palm. It was at my local Barnes & Noble by the register in their tiny gift selections. I took it to my Spanish class and gave people “readings”. I say that because there was no thought or reverence in the moment just “Hey who wants to pull a card?” and then read the book. I actually rebought the deck because my mom destroyed all of my spiritual stuff at one point. Until last night I had no idea who this deck was from, turns out it was Dennis Fairchild, who’s name I am aware of actually own another deck from them. Anyways I can’t believe I’ve had divination cards for 21 years now!!
